Are you ready to flaunt your inner flapper?  The word “flapper” refers to the young women of the 1920′s who adopted a certain attitude and style that challenged their current traditions.  They broke many social norms of their day, including smoking, drinking, wearing short skirts and dancing to jazz.

There are many flapper costumes available for costume parties or performances. You can also easily put together a flapper outfit from your local thrift store. Find a short dress that has lots of fringe. Add fishnet stockings and a cloche hat. Wear some long, dangly beads around your neck.
